Riverview's 3rd
Annual Trivia Night! Now with a musical audio category!
It’s going to be a
great night in Riverview and we want you to be part of it!
WHAT: up to 20
teams of neighbours will get together at the Riverview Community
Centre for a little trivia challenge.
WHEN:
March 14, 2008,
doors open at
7:00 p.m.,
questions begin at 7:30 p.m. sharp!
Bring your own
snacks! The bar will sell beer and wine. DO NOT bring your own adult
beverages.
WHY: to raise
funds for the Riverview Community Centre and to get neighbours meeting
neighbours and to have some fun.
TEAM REGISTRATION:
Teams must have a minimum of 6 and maximum of 8 players. Teams must
have at least 4 players living on the same street in Riverview. The
team fee is $100 per team. Exceptions can be made, for example, if a
team of teachers from schools in Riverview wanted to play, or business
people from the Osborne South BIZ, just so long as you can make a good
argument about your connection to the neighbourhood. The team

TEAM NAMES: Your
team name must have your street as the first word in your team name.
INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION:
We will allow
individuals to register without a team. $15 per individual
registration. Individuals will be placed on teams that do not have 8
players. Teams without 8 players must accept individual players as

Drop off your
registration forms and cheques at the Riverview Community Centre in an
envelope marked Riverview Trivia.
FORMAT: There will
be 10 groups of 10 questions, each group of questions will be along a
particular theme. There will be a separate set of questions (11th
round). The 11th round questions will only count as a tie-breaker.
THIS YEAR WE WILL HAVE A NEW CATEGORY - A SERIES OF SHORT SEGMENTS OF
SONGS AND QUESTIONS ABOUT THOSE SONGS.
TRIVIA MASTER: The
questions will come primarily from Paul Paquet, the trivia-master for
World Trivia Night. See the following links for more information about

RULES: We will
follow the rules on the World Trivia Night web site.
PRACTICE: If you
want to practice, there are sample trivia questions on the above links
to World Trivia Night and Manitoba World Trivia Night. You can also
receive a weekly 12 question trivia game by email from Paul Paquet by
subscribing at http://www.triviahalloffame.com/subscribe.htm (it’s
free; unsubscribe any time you want)
PRIZES: There will
be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
teams.
REGISTRATION: Fill
out the registration form. First come first served. There is only room
for 20 teams. Drop off your team registration form, with a cheque
payable to the Riverview Community Centre, at the Riverview Community
Centre. (no cash please) Please mark your envelope "Riverview Trivia".
