Family / Pleasure Skating
Starting the week of December 1, there will be skating
for individuals and families on Rink 2 (east rink).
This means no sticks or pucks between the following
hours:
|
Thursday
Friday
Saturday
Sunday |
5:00 to 7:00 pm
5:00 to 7:30 pm
5:00 to 8:00 pm
5:00 to 8:00 pm |
Please come and join us at Riverview Community Centre
for fun and exercise! No skates? No problem. We have
skates to lend to you, no charge.
Rinks are also available during daytime hours when there
is greater availability but for evenings, scheduled
hours are necessary to accommodate all skaters.
Thanks to hard working volunteers, we are also
developing a rink for only pleasure skating, with snow
borders which will be better for smaller kids learning
to skate (and rusty adults). That may not be completed
for a few weeks, but come and join us on Rink 2 until
that's ready.
We hope to have a few family oriented events around
skating too.
And watch for the CanSkate program for teaching skating
to kids and adults starting in January.
More volunteers to maintain the new pleasure rink would
be helpful and appreciated. Please let Carla, our
General Manager, know if you have some time, via email
at
gm@riverviewcc.ca. |
