Holiday Doodle - Pottery Painting for Women and Kids

 

Join us for some hands-on pottery painting fun! Paint and play to create your own original pottery pieces. You'll learn simple and fun techniques to create beautiful and functional pottery pieces. Painted pieces will be professionally glazed and kiln fired to produce a brilliant and durable high gloss finish.

 

Drop -ins are welcome and no pre-registration is required for the following class: 

 

Painting Christmas Ornaments

Monday, December 1st

6:00 to 7:00 pm

Cost is $10 (which includes all supplies)

Pottery Painting for Women

Costs range from $20 to $60, depending on the piece you choose.

December 6, 2008       1:00 to 4:00 pm

Join Erin Hammond, Professional Drama Instructor and Playwright, for an afternoon of Fun!   Drama classes available for kids age 5 and up!  This is a free Program, but pre-registration is required so we can make sure we have enough supplies for everyone.

 

December 13, 2008    10:00 to 1:00 pm

Breakfast with Santa!  Special performance by KC Junction.  Silver collection at door.

December 21, 2008   3:00 to 6:00 pm 

Kids Bake Sale, Sponsored by Girls Can Do Anything

Dessert Potluck and Family Dance

 

January 3, 2009  1:00 - 4:00 pm

Art Workshop - Make your Own Robot!  Pre-register so we have enough supplies for everyone!   Save your wrapping paper rolls, boxes, and foil paper for your creation!

Canskate Skating Lessons

Tentatively scheduled for Saturdays from January 3 to March 7. The use of CSA approved helmets with facemasks are required.

Breakfast with Santa

 

Santa is coming to the club the morning of December 13.  Special performance by K.C. Junction!  Mark your calendars! 

If you'd be interested in doing a small 2 hour shift please call Bev Suek at 453-4350 or email beverlysuek@shaw.ca - more volunteers are still required.

 

The festivities start at 10:00 am and activities include a pancake breakfast, presents for the kids, games and contests (with prizes!)  To help with these activities, or if you have contacts with a business or organization that can help us supply Santa's elves with food, wrapping paper, or prizes, call Carla at 452-9944

 

 

 

Skate Donations Required

 

Our skate lending program is seeing lots of action, and donations of skates in all sizes would be greatly appreciated. Please drop them off at the club as soon as possible and we'll put them to great use.

 

 

 

Christmas Decorations and Craft Supplies Wanted

 

RVCC is looking for donations of a Christmas tree, ornaments, or other decorations for the club, as well as craft supplies such as boxes, paper roll tubes, etc.

South Osborne Food Drive on Now 

 

Bring a non-perishable food item(s) from Winnipeg Harvest's Ten Most Wanted Food Items to RVCC and receive a raffle ticket by talking to the staff member on duty. Your donation could win you a prize to one of our great local restaurants, draw to be held on December 13th at the Breakfast with Santa.


Just think - your donation might win you and someone special a dinner at one of our fine local restaurants! 

 

We hope you feel the same way that we do about helping out other families in need at this time of year, including some who live right in our own community and thank you for your generosity!
