Daycare/Playgroups

"The Parent & Tots playgroup was developed in the fall of 2001 to provide an opportunity for parents/guardians and their children to connect and socialize with other families in the neighbourhood. The focus is on cooperative free play in a set up that allows for a variety of fun toys and activities suitable for preschool children.

This program is a parent cooperative which requires parental participation in set up, clean up and supervision and interaction with the children.

This program is currently not running.  Please contact the club if you are interested in helping give it a kick start.

Riverview Ashland Child Care Centre

Riverview Ashland Child Care Centre is a licensed, non-profit Early Childhood Care and Education Centre which provides:

PRE-SCHOOL CARE – children 3 – 6 years including those in nursery and kindergarten programs

A)    FULL TIME CARE:  full days (more than 4 hours per day) Monday- Friday

B)    PART TIME CARE:   ½  days (less than 4 hours per day) or regular full days on specific designated days.   Part time care is limited and may have some conditions

SCHOOL AGE CARE- children 6 – 12 years in grades 1 – 6

A)    FULL TIME CARE:  Children attend the centre before school, at lunch and after school as well as inservice days and school holidays (i.e. spring break).

B)    PART TIME CARE: Children attend the centre before school, lunch and after school on specific days.  These spaces are limited.

C)    AFTER SCHOOL CARE:  Children attend the centre after school only and on school holidays and inservice days.

Summer care for school age children is also available in July and August.  This summer program is an upbeat theme based program which provides quantities of fun, adventure, friendship and caring in a secure, licensed centre with years of experience right here in your own neighbourhood,  All our staff are fully qualified with years of Early Childhood Education experience!
